This product is a simple plug n play solar power kit. It comes with everything you need for portable power and all you have to do is plug the panel into the batterybox via 2 mc4 connectors that are male and female making it simple and quick. The package comes with 2 brand new 100 watt solar panel(200watts of solar), brand new 30 ft of wire, and a xantrex xpower 1500. The xantrex xpower is brand new but, I have added a 20amp charge controller and mc4 connectors on the back of the battery box and I test it before repackaging to make sure everything is working. The 30 ft of wire make it easy to put the panel in the sun and the battery where you need it. Great for apartments because you can use it indoors and most apartments dont allow gas generators. Works great for remote areas without grid power, emergencies, camping, or whatever you need power for. The charge controller that you plug the wires from the panel into is on the back of the unit and all wired all you have to do is snap the mc4 conectors together(Plug n Play). The charge controller has a built in diode so when the sun goes down, it goes down with it and does not drain your battery at night. The reason this solar generator is the best in this price range is because you can attack additional battery power to the back + - bolts on the back of the unit. You just have to use a 12volt deep cycle battery, 20inch battery conectors, and just connect + to + - to - . For example you can buy a sealed lead acid deep cycle battery online that would be the best or you can just go to wallmart get a 12volt deep cycle marine battery. May qualify for federal tax credit of 30% when installed on residency, check your states credits to. The battery and the panels will ship seperately and may not arrive on the same day. When you get the battery box out of the box simply locate the 2 mc4 connectors in the back and plug your 30 ft of wire into the connectors, then you are charging.
